— INDUSTRIAL HUB · TECHNICAL ANIMATION

3D industrial animation to explain machinery, processes and technical products.

3D industrial animation shows what a photo cannot: the movement of a mechanism, the exact order of an assembly and the process that happens inside the machine. It is the piece your team uses to sell at trade fairs, present to management and train operators when drawings and words fall short. We start from your CAD, drawings or documentation to build a video that is technically correct, not just eye-catching. We define the scope with you according to what the animation is for: selling, explaining or training.

What 3D industrial animation is and why it works

3D industrial animation is the digital recreation of a machine, a component or a production line in motion, with full control over camera, pace and level of detail. Unlike footage shot with a real camera, it does not depend on the process being visible: a camera cannot get inside a running engine, follow the path of a fluid through a circuit or show how two parts hidden behind a casing fit together. 3D animation can.

Internal mechanisms and parts that move inside the product.

Fluid paths, air flows or circuits that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

Step-by-step assembly and disassembly sequences.

Manufacturing processes that happen at industrial scale, from start to finish.

01

That makes it the ideal tool for everything that is hard to photograph or explain in words:

02

The result is a video your team reuses in technical sales, trade fairs, the web, presentations, social media and internal training, all from the same project.

When this service makes sense

Not every machine or product needs 3D animation. These are the usual scenarios where it makes the difference and justifies the investment:

If your case matches several of these points, the animation stops being a cosmetic extra and becomes a sales and training tool.

The product has internal parts, paths or functions that can only be understood by seeing them in motion.

The line, the cycle or the mechanism happens inside and you need to show it step by step.

Your sales team needs a visual tool to defend the product in a meeting or at a trade fair, without depending on having a physical unit in front of them.

You want to shorten the learning curve: operators grasp the exploded view, the assembly sequence and the maintenance sooner if they see them animated.

You are launching a prototype or a machine that does not physically exist yet and need to sell it or validate it before manufacturing.

Types of 3D industrial animation and how we produce it

Each deliverable serves a specific purpose. We combine them according to the scope and phase of the project, without imposing the same package on everyone.

Operation animation

Mechanism and moving parts in real motion.

Guided camera and sectional cuts to see the inside.

Designed for sales, presentations and technical demonstrations.

Exploded view (animated breakdown)

Labelled and numbered parts.

Step-by-step assembly and disassembly sequence.

Very useful in training, technical support and manuals.

Production process video

01

A video showing how the machine or product works inside and out, with the camera guided to what really matters.

02

An exploded view that separates the product into its components to explain assembly, structure and the relationship between parts.

03

A walkthrough of a production line or manufacturing cycle that otherwise cannot be seen, at industrial scale.

04

We prepare or rebuild the 3D model that will serve as the basis for the animation, from your existing documentation.

From your CAD to the animation: how we produce it

We work in four defined phases with staged reviews, so you always know what you are getting and when. Closing the script and storyboard before production avoids surprises and cost overruns.

1. Briefing
2. Material and technical script
3. Production
4. Review and delivery
01

We review the goal, sector, end use, deliverables and deadline. This is where we decide whether the video is for selling, explaining or training, because that shapes everything else.

02

We analyse drawings, CAD and documentation, resolve questions with your engineering team and close a technical script and a storyboard that tell exactly what the video has to tell.

03

Modelling, geometry optimisation, texturing, lighting, animation and post-production according to the agreed scope.

04

Adjustments on the agreed points and export in the formats you need: high resolution for trade fairs, short versions for social media, formats for presentations or for a training LMS.

CAD, formats and compatibility

One of the most frequent questions is whether the 3D model needs to be ready to start. It is not essential. We work in two scenarios:

In both cases the model remains as a reusable base: the same geometry can later feed product renders, a configurator or new animations, without modelling from scratch again.

With CAD available: we import and optimise your geometry (STEP, SolidWorks, Inventor, IGES and the usual formats) to speed up modelling and respect the real dimensions.

Without CAD: we rebuild the model from drawings, photographs, data sheets or a detailed description of the product.

What we do differently

We do not deliver loose images: we produce visual material with a clear purpose and the technical precision the project demands.

We interpret drawings, CAD and documentation so the animation is correct, not just good-looking.

We define the finish and deliverables according to whether the video is for selling, explaining or training.

We agree the script and storyboard before producing, so the video tells what it has to tell.

We assume not everyone needs the same level or the same pieces; that is why the initial definition is part of the work.

We are part of a complete industrial hub: 3D product, configurators and animation under the same studio, with consistent criteria across pieces.

Real-world cases and applications

Some examples of the type of project we take on with this service, as a reference for scope, format and result:

Animation of an automatic machine to explain operation, components and advantages over the competition.

3D video of an industrial electrical mechanism showing the internal movement, the parts and the operating logic.

3D animation of a plant process step by step and at industrial scale, with technical captions on each phase.

Renders and video of a technical product for catalogue, e-commerce and sales brochure, with variants and finishes.
