— FOR MANUFACTURERS OF BEDS, STORAGE BASES AND HEADBOARDS

3D configurator
for beds
and bedrooms.

In a bedding shop, the mattress only sells itself halfway. The other half is the bed: the storage base, the headboard, the fabric and the bedside tables, which the customer has to imagine with a swatch book in hand. Here they build their complete bed in 3D, with matching fabric, and see it in their own bedroom on their phone.

— WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU

A fabric swatch book,
a headboard on the wall
and “we'll think about it”.

Saturday in a bedding shop. A couple has already chosen a mattress and now it is the bed's turn. The wingback headboard they like hangs on the back wall, in grey; the storage base is in another aisle, in beige; and the fabrics are in a swatch book of ten-centimetre squares. She wants green velvet; he cannot picture a whole headboard in that colour.

The salesperson does what they can: they show a photo on the tablet of another headboard, in another colour, in another bedroom. They explain that the same fabric can also cover the base and the bedside tables, and that the curved headboard comes in 150 and 160. They jot down three combinations on a piece of paper. The couple say they will think about it and take the mattress.

The bed does not sell that day. Nor the base, nor the headboard, nor the matching bedside tables. In your factory, that combination of emerald velvet with a wingback headboard and a lift-up storage base was two weeks' work. But nobody managed to let the customer see it whole before they walked out of the door.

— WHERE THE SALE LEAKS AWAY

The bottlenecks
you will recognise
straight away.

“And how would it all look in that green?”

The fabric is chosen from a ten-centimetre square

The customer has to imagine a whole headboard, a storage base and bedside tables from a small swatch, under the shop's lighting. Velvet, bouclé or corduroy change a lot over a large surface, and the doubt is settled by choosing the usual grey, or by not choosing at all.

What it costs youPremium fabrics that hardly sell and decisions that get postponed.

“I'll take the mattress and look at the bed later.”

The bed is sold in pieces

The mattress in one aisle, the storage bases in another, the headboards on the wall and the bedside tables in a different shop. Nobody shows the whole bed, with the same fabric throughout, in a bedroom. The customer takes the essentials and buys the rest elsewhere, or not at all.

What it costs youOrders smaller than they could be, at the same cost of sale.

“Does the wingback come in 160?”

Combinations that are never made

Every headboard has its sizes, every base its heights and every fabric its surcharges. In the shop, combinations get written down that later turn out not to exist or carry a supplement nobody mentioned, and the factory has to call to correct the order.

What it costs youOrders corrected over the phone and customers who feel misled.

“The shop doesn't have that headboard on display.”

The showroom cannot hold the whole catalogue

A shop has room for a few assembled beds from all its brands. The rest of your headboards, bases and finishes are sold from a paper catalogue, and what is not on display hardly sells.

What it costs youMost of the catalogue, invisible at the point of sale.

“And how would this look in my room?”

Nobody has seen it in their bedroom

Room dimensions, wall colour, space for the bedside tables: the bed is chosen in a shop and assembled in a different home. Without seeing it in their bedroom, the customer doubts the size of the headboard or the height of the base and puts off the purchase.

What it costs youPurchases postponed “until we've measured the room properly”.

A bed with a wingback headboard and a storage base upholstered in velvet in the 3D bedroom configurator, with the fabric families
Answers · The fabric is chosen from a ten-centimetre square

24 fabrics in 6 families, over the whole bed

Linen, chenille, velvet, bouclé, corduroy and faux leather, each with its own texture and, except for linen, its surcharge. One tap changes the fabric of the base and the headboard, and the lacquered bedside tables are tinted to match, over the complete bed and under the bedroom's light. With photos of your fabrics, the customer sees yours.

From the mattress to the complete bed, in the same journey

The customer sees the mattress inside, layer by layer, and carries on with the bed: a lift-up storage base that opens and shows what fits, an upholstered base, a slatted base or a frame bed that hugs the mattress; a plain, buttoned, striped, wooden, wingback or curved headboard; pillows, topper and protector.

The manufacturing rules, inside the configurator

With your rules loaded, each headboard can be limited to its sizes and each base to its heights (in the demo, for instance, the slatted base and the upholstered base of 160 cm or more come in two halves), and each fabric carries its supplement. The indicative price is recalculated with every change, and the request goes out with everything: model, size, base, headboard, fabric and accessories.

The whole catalogue on every shop's tablet

The same configurator in every shop, with a kiosk mode that returns to the home screen by itself when nobody is using it and an automatic demonstration for shop windows and trade fairs. It works offline and has a viewer to show the mattress in 3D, inside and out, on the product page of your website.

The complete bed, in their bedroom, on their phone

With augmented reality, the customer places the whole bed, with its storage base, headboard and bedside tables, at full size in their room, without installing anything. Night mode switches on the bedside lamps to see the atmosphere. And the request goes out with the bed just as they saw it, assigned to the nearest shop by postcode; in your configurator it is sent to that shop.

— FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What we
get asked.

Does it work for a manufacturer that only makes beds or headboards?

Yes. The configurator can start straight at the bed: base, storage base, headboard, fabric and bedside tables. For a manufacturer that does not sell mattresses, the mattress is removed from the journey and the price. And the other way round: a mattress manufacturer can keep just the mattress and the base.

Are the fabrics ours?

In the demo the textures are our own, as examples. Your configurator carries photos of your fabrics, with their names, families and surcharges; we load them from your catalogue (we give you a template) and they update without touching the design.

Does it work in the shop without internet?

Yes. It has a kiosk mode, an automatic demonstration and offline operation, designed for tablets in shops and for trade fairs.

Can it be seen in the customer's room?

Yes, with augmented reality from their phone and without installing anything: the complete bed, at full size, with its storage base, headboard and bedside tables.

Does it work for hotels?

Yes. The hotel order lets them state how many beds of each size they need and generates the order sheet as a PDF with the volume discount from your price list, for your sales team to confirm.

How much does a 3D bed and bedroom configurator cost?

It depends on how many models, bases, headboards and fabrics you want to show and whether it connects to your website or your online shop. Projects start from €6,500 for a visual configurator of one product family; most projects for manufacturers fall between €14,500 and €35,000, depending on catalogue, rules and integrations, plus maintenance from €190/month. 3D modelling of your products and the textures of your fabrics are quoted separately, once we see your files.
