— FOR BATHROOM MANUFACTURERS AND DISTRIBUTORS

3D configurator
for bathroom and tile
manufacturers.

The shop sends you a corner screen order without the side panel, the installer sends a tray drawn on a piece of cardboard, and the merchant has come up short on boxes. With a 3D configurator, the customer sees their floor, their shower or their unit assembled, with its price, and the order reaches you complete.

— WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU

Three orders
before nine o'clock
and all three are missing something.

Monday, quarter past eight. On the orders phone, a photo of a biro sketch on a sheet of plasterboard: 1583 by 792, an arrow pointing to the word “pillar” and not a word about the waste. Below it, a corner shower screen ordered without the side panel. And a voice message from a merchant: the tiler is three boxes short and that batch is no longer available.

None of these is a factory problem. The customer chose with a single piece in their hand, the counter assistant worked out the metres from memory and the installer sent a photo. Each one translates what they understood, and what reaches you is the translation.

What is not cleared up beforehand gets paid for afterwards: a toughened glass panel that has to be made again, a tray cut as a mirror image, a top-up from another batch in another shade, or a unit sent back because it did not fit next to the radiator. And while your office confirms prices over the phone, the customer asks for another quote.

— THINGS YOU HEAR EVERY WEEK

How hard it is
to sell bathrooms
made to measure.

Behind each sentence there is an order that gets delayed or made twice.

“It is 1,400… more or less.”

Measurements that arrive half-complete

The corner screen needs the side panel; the tray, the cut-out and the waste; the worktop, the depth and the cut-outs. Whatever is missing gets filled in from memory or with a sketch that is read the wrong way round.

With the configuratorEach type asks for its own measurements and is redrawn in 3D, with the cut-out and the waste on the tray. With your rules, what you do not make cannot be ordered.

“Thirteen metres will be enough, right?”

Quantities worked out by eye

Boxes without allowing for waste, litres without the ceiling or the second coat. The order comes up short and the top-up arrives from another batch, in another shade.

With the configuratorThe metres with waste, the boxes, the skirting, the grout and the tile adhesive, or the litres and the tins, all come out on their own.

“We do not have that collection on display yet.”

The showroom is always one step behind

Four shower screens and twelve panels for hundreds of combinations. The shop sells what it can show.

With the configuratorThe whole collection can be tried in 3D on the shop's screen or on the customer's phone, with a QR code.

“Will the 80 fit?”

Small bathrooms and tight measurements

Between the toilet and the radiator there are 85 centimetres. On the product sheet they are numbers; at home, a returned unit.

With the configuratorIt is seen with its dimensions and a person beside it, and at real size in augmented reality.

“Can you confirm the price again with the gold profile?”

Every quote goes through your office

The shop does not have your up-to-date price list for every combination. While it asks you, the customer asks somewhere else.

With the configuratorEvery combination shows its indicative price instantly, with your price list.

“I will talk it over with my partner and come back.”

Whoever decides is not there

One person pays, another uses it and a third gives an opinion from afar. What gets home is two catalogue photos and a loose figure.

With the configuratorThey take away a PDF or their configuration on their phone, and compare up to three options with the differences highlighted.

— THE JOURNEY TODAY

This is how
a bathroom order reaches
your factory today.

Five steps, and at each one time is lost or a mistake slips in.

  1. 01

    Showroom

The customer chooses from what fits in the shop. You lose: everything that is not on display.

  2. 02

    Counter or home visit

Calculations from memory or a catalogue on a sofa. You lose: the extras nobody showed.

  3. 03

    Measuring

A photo of a sketch and two dimensions. You lose: the missing detail.

  4. 04

    Quote

The shop asks you for a price and waits. You lose: the customer, who compares in the meantime.

  5. 05

    Factory order

Each shop with its own template. You lose: a glass panel, a tray or a batch.

— WHERE THE MARGIN GOES
  • What gets made twice: the glass that does not fit or the tray cut to a size that is no use for any other bathroom.
  • Top-ups and returns: missing boxes, a unit that did not fit, delivery there and back.
  • The technical office: hours answering questions on prices and measurements by phone and voice message.
— AND YOUR BUYERS DO NOT HAVE IT EASY EITHER
  • They cannot picture a floor with one tile in their hand.
  • They do not know whether the sliding screen leaves them room to get in or whether the unit fits.
  • They want the price now; if it takes a while, they ask somewhere else.

The problem is not your product. It is everything that happens between the showroom and the order sheet. That is why a PDF catalogue is not enough: it shows the product, but it does not take the order.

— YOUR NETWORK

Shops, merchants
and installers:
each one sells in their own way.

Your product reaches the customer through other people, and each of them has their own bottleneck.

01 · BATHROOM SHOP

A showroom that cannot fit everything

Four shower screens on display, its own order template and a phone call to confirm every price.

With the configuratorIt shows every combination and sends you the complete order. With its own login, developed to order, it gives the price with its margin.

02 · BUILDERS' MERCHANT

The counter with twelve panels

It works out boxes and litres in its head and, to avoid getting it wrong, sells the standard tray closest to the space.

With the configuratorThe quantities come out on their own and the made-to-measure tray is ordered already drawn.

03 · INSTALLER AND PLUMBER

The order that comes from the site

They measure with the customer in front of them and ask you for the price by message at eleven at night.

With the configuratorThey configure from their phone and, with a trade login, see their trade price rather than the retail price.

04 · REFURBISHMENT COMPANY

The visit in the living room

Forty minutes on a sofa, two handwritten quotes, and a rain head and a niche crossed out because on paper they look like whims.

With the configuratorThe family sees their shower on the tablet, with the extras in place and their price added.

05 · STONE WORKSHOP AND KITCHEN SHOP

The price that needs a visit

Without measuring there is no price, and without a price the customer will not agree to you coming to measure.

With the configuratorShape, sizes, material and cut-outs give an indicative price before anyone measures.

06 · ONLINE SALES

The chat that repeats the same answers

“Is it 45 deep?”, “is the oak lighter than in the photo?”. Every unanswered doubt is a potential return.

With the configuratorDimensions and details, in the summary and on the 3D. More in 3D configurator for online shops.

— WHAT CHANGES WITH A CONFIGURATOR

What a
3D bathroom
configurator is.

A 3D bathroom configurator is a web page where the customer, the shop or the installer picks the product with its sizes and finishes and sees it assembled in 3D, with an indicative price. At the end, the customer takes their configuration away and you receive the order.

For a manufacturer it is the measurement sheet that leaves no gaps: it asks for what the factory needs and applies your rules, such as which basin goes with which width. If you are starting from scratch, read what a 3D configurator is.

— HOW WE GET IT RUNNING

Four steps
to get your own.

We start from a configurator that already works and adapt it to your product and your network. You are not paying for development from scratch.

  1. 01

    Your catalogue

Series, formats, sizes, finishes and accessories.

  2. 02

    Rules and price list

Manufacturing limits, surcharges, waste and prices.

  3. 03

    Your network

Shops, merchants and installers, their margins and their areas.

  4. 04

    Website and training

On your website and on your distributors' sites, with sales training.

— WHAT YOU SEND US TO START
  • Your price list and the measurement sheet you use today.
  • One series with its formats and finishes.
  • 3D or CAD files if you have them; if not, photos and data sheets.
— WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
  • It does not replace the surveyor: the measurement taken on site is the one that counts.
  • No screen reproduces a colour with complete accuracy: for the final shade, use the physical sample.
  • The price the customer sees is indicative: the final price comes from you.
— PRICE

A bespoke development,
at a fixed price.

— HOW MUCH IT COSTS

From €6,500

Developments start from €6,500 for a visual configurator of one product family; most projects for manufacturers fall between €14,500 and €35,000, depending on the catalogue, the rules and the integrations, plus maintenance from €190 a month.

  • Timeframe: between 3 and 16 weeks depending on the scope; the exact date goes in the proposal.
  • Payment terms: 40% to start, 40% with the test version and 20% at go-live.
  • The configurator is yours: it does not depend on a pay-per-use platform or on third-party licences.

More detail in the price of a 3D configurator.

— QUOTED SEPARATELY, PER PRODUCT
  • 3D modelling: basins, taps, trays, baths or profiles, from €30 to €120 per part (or more). If you give us the model, it only needs adapting.
  • Materials and finishes: tiles, stones, woods, lacquers or colours, from €30 to €120 per finish (or more).
  • Agreed once we have seen your files, before we start.
— FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What bathroom manufacturers
ask us.

There are more short answers in frequently asked questions about 3D configurators and who we are in 3D configurator company.

What is a 3D bathroom configurator?

A web page where your customer, the shop or the installer picks the product with its sizes and finishes and sees it assembled in 3D, with an indicative price from your price list, a comparison tool for up to three options and the configuration as a PDF or on their phone. Six of the seven in the sector also produce the factory order sheet. More in what a 3D configurator is.

Which configurators do you have for the bathroom sector?

Seven, each with its own page and open demo: floor and wall tiles, shower and bath, made-to-measure shower tray, shower screen, bathroom furniture, stone or quartz worktop and paint colour.

We make several product families, for example trays and screens. How does that work?

Each family has its own flow and its own rules: the tray asks for the size, the cut-out and the waste; the screen, the type, the width, the side panel and the height. In the proposal we set which families are included, and the price depends on that scope.

Does any app need to be installed?

No. It opens in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone. With a QR code the customer moves their configuration to their phone and sees it at real size in their own space with augmented reality.

What reaches the factory?

The order sheet with every reference, its description and its quantity: boxes of tiles and grout, the tray with its cut-out and its waste valve, the toughened glass and the profiles, the unit with its basin or the worktop with its cut-outs. Six of the seven produce it; the paint one gives litres and tins. If you want it to go into your ERP, it is connected in the project.

Can our shops, merchants and installers use it under their own brand?

Yes, as part of the bespoke development: each one logs in with their own access, their margin and their logo, and sees their trade price instead of the retail price. Enquiries from private customers are assigned to the shop or installer in their area.
